Based in Beverly Hills, with offices in New York and London, Principal Media has produced and distributed top-level TV programming since 2005.

Our worldwide distribution division is a respected presence in the international TV marketplace, representing a diverse range of unscripted, award-winning TV programming. These include long-running series on National Geographic, Travel Channel, Spike, Discovery, Insight and many more. We work very closely with production companies and content creators of all kinds, to license finished programming, as well as developing original programming.

Principal Media first established a name for itself as a top-level producer with the hit series ‘Amazing Adventures of a Nobody’, which aired in over 100 countries around the world. This led to a partnership with Fox and National Geographic International to create two more seasons of the show. Following its success, Principal Media created over 150 hours of TV programming for channels such as National Geographic, Travel Channel, Fuel, Sky Channel, Fox Sports, ABC Family, Tennis Channel to name a few. Most recently, Principal Media co-financed and produced the Emmy-nominated adventure series ‘First Ascent’ with National Geographic International, and the primetime series ‘America Haunts’ with Travel Channel.

In 2009, Principal Media expanded into the world of 3D, becoming the world’s largest distributor of 3D programming. In 2013, focus shifted towards the production and representation of 4K/UHD programming, launching an initiative to partner with the most technologically advanced production companies in the industry. Today we represent a vast library of future proofed, unscripted programming, with extremely close allegiances and partnerships to 4K/UHD production companies and buyers around the world.
